About This Camp

What if we could take old, forgotten buildings and turn them into something amazing for the future? In City Lab: Back to the Future, you’ll explore how to transform existing structures into vibrant, new spaces while preserving their history and character.

Throughout the week, you’ll dive into adaptive reuse—learning how to creatively repurpose old places for new uses. With hands-on projects, you’ll get to redesign spaces that blend the charm of the past with the needs of today’s communities.

Let’s bring the past to life and create a future full of new possibilities!

Campers will learn to:

  • Learn about adaptive reuse and its role in sustainable development by giving new life to existing structures.

  • Explore successful examples of adaptive reuse projects.

  • Use various materials to create designs that repurpose old buildings or spaces.

  • Use model-making and sketching to bring your adaptive reuse ideas to life.

At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited for a showcase of the campers’ creations!

What to Bring:

  • Campers should bring a water bottle, snacks, and lunch.
