Digital Art Studio: Wizards, Dragons, and Castles

Join MODA and design your own fantasy world!

In this virtual studio, young designers will step into a world of imagination to bring their fantasy characters and settings to life through digital art. From wizards and dragons to enchanted forests, participants will design various elements of fantasy worlds. The session will begin with tips and ideas for creating captivating fantasy illustrations using Medibang Paint Pro, followed by hands-on creative time. At the end of the studio, students can share their artwork and receive feedback in a supportive environment.


In This Afterschool Studio, students will . . .

  • Practice using digital tools to create fantasy characters and settings.

  • Use techniques for illustrating textures, lighting, and magical effects.

  • Experiment with their own styles to create unique fantasy worlds.

  • Transform ideas from sketches to digital art.

  • Provide a space to share and provide constructive feedback

  • Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • A computer or tablet with internet access

  • Zoom

  • MediBang Paint Pro software pre-installed (it’s free!)


    A digital drawing tablet is optional, but it makes for easier creating
