Visiting MODA

The Museum of Design Atlanta is conveniently located in the Midtown Arts District, right across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center at 1315 Peachtree St. NE Atlanta, GA 30309.
MODA is located on the ground floor of the 1315 Peachtree Building. The building is a mix use site and is shared by MODA, the Peachtree Public Library, and Perkins+Will.
MODA resides on the land of the Mvskoke (Muscogee / Creek) people.

Parking
MODA does not offer designated parking. There are public parking lots located in the Midtown Arts district, as well as metered parking available along Peachtree St NE. The paid Lanier parking deck at 1337 Peachtree St NE is the closest deck within walking distance of the museum.
Bike Riders
For visitors traveling by bike, there are plenty of bike racks conveniently located around MODA! You can find them along Peachtree Street, including right outside of MODA, and at the Arts Center MARTA Station. Don’t forget to bring a lock!

Yes! The Arts Center Station is the closest to MODA.
If visiting by train, take the North or South rail line to the Arts Center MARTA Station (N5), located directly behind the Woodruff Arts Center (accessible). Exit the Arts Center Station at the top level by the Peachtree Street exit. You will be behind the Woodruff Arts Center. MODA is located directly across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center. Use the cross-walk at the intersection of 16th and Peachtree to reach our building.

We offer a 20% discount on museum admission for patrons who used public transportation to get to MODA!

MODA enforces a strict no touching policy (except, of course, for any interactive exhibit elements). We do, however, encourage photos, videos, selfies, etc. — just no flash, please!
Backpacks and Bags
Visitors will be asked to check strollers, shopping bags, backpacks and other bags that exceed 12″ in width, 15″ in height, and x 5″ in depth at the front desk before entering the exhibition.
Food & Drink
Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries.

Private tours for can be arranged for groups of 6-20 individuals. Each tour lasts about an hour long. The cost is $13/student or $15/adult. For assistance and scheduling, please email miranda@museumofdesign.org.

At MODA, we are committed to ensuring that every guest can experience our exhibits to the fullest extent possible. All galleries and restrooms are wheelchair accessible, and our galleries, which are located across just one floor, have multiple seating options. We are also able to provide stools during guided tours for anyone with mobility concerns.
Upon request, we can schedule guided tours for groups and individuals with sight, hearing, or physical disabilities. Additionally, we are happy to arrange sensory-friendly quiet hours for our visitors.
We are a proud member of Museum for All. Participating museums provide reduced admission, ranging from free to $3.00, to visitors presenting their EBT card. This reduced rate is available during all normal operating hours to up to four individuals per EBT card.

Yes, but please note that only service animals are permitted in the museum. We kindly request that all other pets remain outside.

Guest passes renew every month and do not roll over into the next month. When you visit the museum with a guest, we will check the status of your guest passes.

MODA is proud to to allow our members access to free or discounted admission to a range of museums throughout the NARM Membership, provided by the North American Reciprocal Association), and SERM (Southeastern Reciprocal Membership), offered by the Southeastern Museums Conference.
The SERM Membership provides access 175+ organizations in the Southeastern region.
The NARM Membership provides access to 1100 museums across North America.
*NARM is only offered to MODA members at the Friends & Family membership level and above.

On top of the benefits listed above, our Changemakers Circle gathers at least three times each year to socialize, visit designers’ studios, get insider information about MODA exhibitions and projects, and interact with leading designers and design influencers.
