About This Event
Ages 12+ | Open to 20 participants
What could Auburn Avenue look like in the year 2108? This iconic street, known as the heart of Black Atlanta, has been a beacon of civil rights, culture, and innovation for generations. From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s powerful sermons at Ebenezer Baptist Church to the thriving businesses of "Sweet Auburn," the avenue has stood as a testament to the fight for justice, the pursuit of equality, and the triumph of Black excellence.
On Friday, February 21, join us for an event that invites you to reimagine the future of Auburn Avenue. Led by artist and educator Lakeem Winborne, we’ll walk its historic path, reflect on its profound legacy, and dream of a future defined by liberation, equity, and bold possibilities.
Celebrate the intersection of history, imagination, and design as we honor the enduring spirit of Auburn Avenue and envision a brighter tomorrow.
